David Grell
Head Coach
Brief info
It gives me great pleasure to have this opportunity to donate my time and talents to the fastest growing sport across America. I was introduced to this wonderful sport of trap shooting in the mid 80’s and it did not take very long for it to expand to skeet and later five stand and sporting clays. As I started to grow with each of these disciplines, I was fortunate enough to learn from some of the best shooters around and receive formal training. I currently participate in many leagues locally and shoot registered targets as a member of the National Skeet Shooting Association, Amateur Trapshooting Association, and National Sporting Clays Association with my wife Heather and my two sons Andrew and Jack. It is so much fun to compete as a family! I have volunteered as a shooting coach for Pequot and Pillager Schools for the last twelve years and currently serving my second term as the President of the Lakeshore Conservation Club and as one of the founder/directors of the Clays to End Hunger Fundraising Tournament. Coaching is so much more than just shooting; it is about responsibility, safety, discipline, concentration, and the art of paying it forward
